Ecological Consultant Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to join our team in various locations across Ireland. As an Ecologist, you will collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other staff on infrastructure projects, primarily in the water, energy, and transport sectors.
Your responsibilities will include managing ecological input to environmental projects, supporting Senior Consultants and Project Managers, and conducting ecological field surveys. You will also interact with external stakeholders as necessary and possess strong organisational, technical, numerical, and communication skills.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in ecology or a related subject, be a member of relevant professional bodies, and have relevant post-graduate experience within a consultancy environment.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing high-quality reports to best practice standards, including Appropriate Assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA), Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEA), and biodiversity chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIAR).
