Overview
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy firm specializing in structural and civil engineering projects across Ireland, is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join their team in Longford.
Responsibilities
Design and analysis of structural components for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality designs.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
Utilize industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools.
Ensure projects adhere to relevant building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Assist in project management, including cost estimation and timeline planning.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in structural engineering design.
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, etc.).
Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and Irish building regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is an advantage.
Full driving license and ability to travel to project sites when required.
