Pastries Specialist
Our luxurious 4-star resort in County Kilkenny seeks an experienced Pastry Chef to create high-quality pastry items for our restaurants and events.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation, baking, and daily production of pastries to meet customer demand.
2. Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP) in the pastry section.
3. Monitor and control ingredient costs, reduce waste, and order supplies for the pastry kitchen.
4. Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development.
5. Provide guidance and training to junior staff members.
Necessary Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a hotel, patisserie, or high-volume kitchen.
* Strong technical knowledge of pastry arts.
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
* Creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts.
