We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all property maintenance operations, ensuring the hotel is safe, fully operational, and visually maintained to the highest standard. This role is ideal for a candidate with similar experience in a hotel or large hospitality venue.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department, managing a small team and external contractors.
* Ensure the hotel is maintained to brand standards in all guest rooms, public areas, spa, leisure centre, and back-of-house areas.
* Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance of facilities, systems, and equipment (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire safety, etc.).
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments, ensuring minimal disruption.
* Maintain records and logs of all maintenance activities and regulatory compliance.
* Manage budgets for repairs, maintenance supplies, and projects.
* Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and ensure health and safety compliance.
* Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the hotel.
* Participate in hotel management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement planning.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar Maintenance or Engineering Manager role within a hotel environment is essential.
* Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.
* Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate with other departments.
* Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong time management and the ability to work under pressure.
* Flexibility to be available for emergencies and participate in on-call duties.
