Job Overview: A skilled Process Engineer is required to support production with creating and validating CNC part programs for CNC lathe and mills. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and creating manufacturing documentations in accordance with company specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support production with the development of accurate CNC part programs.
* Ensure that all manufactured products meet drawing specifications by making necessary adjustments to G Code.
* Provide assistance with tooling, jigs, and fixtures as well as troubleshooting and implementing corrective measures.
* To make interventions where necessary to improve performance and efficiency.
* To train operators, line leads, and trainers on process changes and enhancements.
* Provide technical support to sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality departments.
* Collaborate with engineers to design standard products and provide cost analysis to sales using standard templates.
* Ensure the optimum selection of efficient manufacturing methods and raw materials.
* Create manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
* Ensure adherence to engineering and manufacturing change request/order controls.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering or a related field is desired but not essential.
* Hands-on experience with CNC machining lathes or milling is required, along with proficiency in drafting techniques including 2D and 3D CAD.
* A general understanding of engineering standards and practices is essential.
* Experience in manufacturing techniques and materials in a machine shop environment is highly desirable.
* A minimum of 2-5 years' working experience in a machine-oriented manufacturing environment is preferred.
