My Dublin based client is recruiting for a Systems Administrator to join the team. This role is hybrid working. This role will focus on the management and maintenance of Windows and Active Directory systems across the organization. Expertise in patch management, software deployment, and installation image management using SCCM, Intune, and Auto Patch is essential. Experience managing Entra ID and Azure is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement security remediations and follow best practice recommendations
* Maintain and monitor Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
* Perform system and application patching
* Assist with deployment and upkeep of IT infrastructure (VMware & Hyper-V experience is advantageous)
* Document new and existing IT infrastructure and related procedures
* Deploy applications and updates using Intune
* Manage devices via Intune
* Deploy secure server and laptop images
* Oversee Autopilot deployment system
* Ensure BCP/DR plans include restoration of Windows infrastructure and are tested regularly
* Develop automation tools using PowerShell for operational tasks
* Maintain full patch compliance across the Windows estate, including troubleshooting and remediation
* Build and release deployment packages using SCCM/Intune
* Conduct patch dependency checks and submit change requests
* Perform system changes to address vulnerabilities
* Manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Intune policies in alignment with internal standards
* Administer Domain Controllers
* Participate in a shift-based schedule covering 8am–6pm, Monday to Friday
* Participate in an on-call rotation
Key Skills & Competencies
* Proficient in managing Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, and Azure Active Directory systems
* Experienced in patch deployment and endpoint compliance (SCCM and Intune)
* Strong communication and collaboration skills in a global working environment
* Adaptable and motivated to learn new technologies
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
* Familiarity with Qualys is a plus
* Experience with GxP environments is advantageous but not essential
* PowerShell scripting proficiency
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a similar role
* Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline preferred
* Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus
* Valid driver's license and own transport required
