As Senior National Account Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading the relationship between General Mills Ireland and one of our most important customers. Reporting to the Country Manager & Head of Sales Ireland, you'll be responsible for delivering sales, share, and profit goals while building the growth of our leading brands within the Irish grocery trade. This is a high-profile role that demands ambition, commercial acumen, and the ability to build deep customer intimacy — and it offers the opportunity to accelerate your career with General Mills.
What Your Role Is
Your primary focus will be to achieve company sales, share, and profit goals, while maintaining and developing the growth of our key brands within this key retailer. Your responsibilities will include:
* Strategic Account Management: Prepare and deliver an annual sales plan for your customer, aligning with overall business objectives.
* Financial Performance: Deliver accurate financial and volume forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
* Promotional Optimisation: Evaluate promotional ROI to ensure the most efficient use of promotional expenditure and implement agreed promotional plans within defined investment budgets.
* Category Leadership: Drive thought leadership on our categories within the customer, positioning General Mills as a trusted advisor.
* Account Strategy: Develop and recommend account strategies and tactics to maximise sales and gross profit for both General Mills and the customer.
* Execution Excellence: Implement plans for excellent execution within the customer, liaising with key contacts within the Distributor, Customers, and internally.
What You Will Bring To The Team
You have proven experience as a National Account Manager in a branded FMCG business, ideally across at least two trading cycles, with a strong track record of delivering results with grocery multiples. You bring an
in-depth understanding of the Irish grocery trade and category
management, and you know how to leverage this knowledge to create customer wins.
With strong sales, negotiation, and presentation skills, you're
confident in influencing stakeholders and selling compelling strategies.
You thrive in cross-functional environments, collaborating across teams to unlock growth. Exposure to shopper and consumer marketing will be an advantage, but above all, you bring ambition, drive, and the
ability to build strong customer relationships
that deliver lasting impact.
