* The Company looks after Glasgow Clan and Braehead Arena. Glasgow Clan is falls under the Setanta Group of companies and this role will be based in our HQ, Broadcasting House, 3A Princes Street South.

The Arena hosts a wide variety of sport, conferences, live entertainment and industry events all year round, with ambitions to continue expanding its events portfolio. Braehead Ice Centre further supports our growing and diverse operations.
The Role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Management Accountant to join the organisation on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, starting in April 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of the Glasgow Clan, Braehead Arena and Braehead Ice Centre family. Everyone involved in the organisation is expected to be highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and take pride in being part of an elite sports and events organisation.
You will work closely with on-ice and off-ice teams, developing positive working relationships across the business, supporting the financial performance of multiple departments, and leading the Accounts Assistant to ensure accurate and timely financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and detailed variance analysis
* Preparation and posting of journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, stock adjustments and payroll postings
* Business partnering with key departments including Merchandise, Food & Beverage and Events
* Responsibility for budgeting and forecasting cycles
* Assisting the CFO and Treasurer with cashflow management
* Ensuring strict financial controls and compliance are maintained across the business
* Preparation and submission of VAT returns
* Assisting with monthly payroll processing (UK payroll experience desirable)
* Supporting internal and external audit processes
* Contributing to ongoing finance process improvements and system enhancements
* Leading, mentoring, and delegating tasks to the Accounts Assistant to ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Strong management accounting experience
* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
* Proven ability to lead, mentor, and delegate to junior staff
* Proactive, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Previous UK Payroll experience desirable
* Experience in events, hospitality, sport or multi-site operations would be advantageous

Pay: €40,000.00-€50,000.00 per year
