Job Title:
Highway Maintenance Specialist
A key member is required to join our team in Dublin. This role is crucial in maintaining road safety and supporting infrastructure services across the region.
This position involves driving vehicles to and from worksites and depots, assisting in highway maintenance and civil works tasks, operating tools and equipment, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a valid Full B driving licence, experience in traffic management, and a background in construction, civil works, or highway maintenance. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when working independently is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive company vehicles to and from worksites and depots.
* Assist in highway maintenance and civil works tasks, including pothole repair, signage installation, and verge maintenance.
* Operate tools and equipment as required for highwaywork and maintenance duties.
* Carry out safety inspections and report issues with roads, signage, and work areas.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
* Work collaboratively within a team and take initiative when working independently.
Working Hours:
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Standard Shifts:Monday to Thursday: 07:00 – 15:30Friday: 06:00 – 14:30
* Availability for on-call work outside of standard hours is required
Requirements:
* Valid Full B driving licence with a minimum of 6 months' driving experience.
* Valid Safe Pass is essential.
* Manual Handling certificate is an advantage (training can be provided).
* Experience in traffic management is desirable (training will be provided).
* Background in construction, civil works, or highway maintenance is a plus.
Premium Rates:
* Night Shift Premium (1.3x)
* Overtime (1.5x after 40 hours)
* Winter/Emergency On-Call (1.75x)
* Sunday/Bank Holiday (2x)
