Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Breakdown Support Engineer to join a well-established and long-standing engineering services company based in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This office-based role involves providing technical support to the engineering team and liaising with customers on equipment breakdowns and technical queries.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the service department.
* Provide technical support to field service engineers and customers.
* Manage customer equipment breakdowns (Fanuc & Piovan experience is a distinct advantage).
* Liaise with principal partners to source support, parts, and schematics.
* Maintain and upload RAMS to customer portals.
* Manage calibration instruments and service documentation.
* Update machinery records in the software management system.
* Collaborate on service schedules and contribute to operational planning and budgeting.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
* Familiarity with plastics machinery (Fanuc & Piovan experience is a distinct advantage).
* Previous experience in a maintenance or service-focused role.
* Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
* Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
