Ballyfin Demesne proudly holds 3 Michelin Keys for our stunning property located at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains in Co. Laois. We are also the proud recipient of a Michelin star for our fine dining restaurant, headed by our talented chef, Richard Picard Edwards.

We are seeking a hardworking individual with previous experience in a Michelin-starred restaurant. The successful candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, outstanding customer service skills, and a team-oriented attitude. This is a full-time, permanent role, working 5 days out of 7, from Monday to Sunday. The shift is approximately 4 pm until close, during dinner service.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Delivering exceptional service as a chef de rang to ensure a memorable dining experience for guests.
* Welcoming guests and showing them to their tables.
* Explaining the menu, service sequence, and answering guest questions.
* Taking food and beverage orders accurately, confirming dietary requirements.
* Liaising with kitchen staff and chefs as needed.
* Assisting and training colleagues to promote teamwork.
* Communicating dish details to guests and addressing inquiries.
* Serving and clearing plates and cutlery as required.
* Collaborating with the F&B and kitchen teams to enhance guest experience through clear communication.
* Developing comprehensive knowledge of Ballyfin’s offerings, including history, food, beverages, and activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
* At least one year of experience in a fine-dining or Michelin-starred restaurant.
* A mature, charismatic personality.
* Impeccable attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and a team player.
* A friendly, approachable manner.
* A genuine passion for food, beverages, and hospitality.
