Our client is a highly successful Irish organisation with a significant presence in Ireland and the UK.
They are now interested in talking to Data Protection specialists for a
Data Protection Manager
role.
This position reports to the Chief Legal Officer and you will work closely with the IT Director.
It's important
that you have a significant understanding of legislative requirements, data protection law etc, but also a very good understanding of technology from a systems implementation perspective.
Experience required:
You will have at least 4 years' experience.
Responsibilities:
* Advise on data protection matters and escalate data privacy issues to senior management
* Act as senior leader of relevant data protection committees
* Analyse, evaluate and advise on the privacy impact of existing and upstream legislative, regulatory, legal developments and industry proposals on services and companies
* Assist and advise on compliance with data protection, privacy, security regulations, information technology policies, standards and processes.
* Liaise with the relevant data protection regulators in the jurisdictions that we operate in.
* Provide practical and actionable advice on the design and continuous improvement of policies, operational processes, risk assessments, controls, monitoring and governance.
* One direct report into this role (administrator)
Essential:
