Role Purpose
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to support our growing organisation by managing core HR activities, strengthening HR processes, and providing practical guidance to leaders and employees alike. Initially a part-time role, this position will play a key role in building our internal HR capability with the potential for growth in scope and hours as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration
* Drafting, issuing, and maintaining employment contracts, variations, and HR records
* Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and employment law
Pay & Benefits Oversight
* Supporting payroll processes and benefits administration
* Acting as point of contact for pensions, insurance, and related vendors
Policies & Procedures
* Reviewing and developing HR policies, employee handbook, and procedures
* Ensuring policies are up to date with current legal requirements and best practice
Employee Relations
* Providing coaching and guidance to managers on people issues including performance, conduct, and wellbeing
* Supporting formal HR processes as required
Recruitment Support
* Assisting with full recruitment cycle: job ads, screening, interviewing, offer management
* Supporting onboarding processes to ensure a positive new hire experience
Experience & Competencies:
* 3–5+ years HR experience (generalist) ideally within a small/medium enterprise
* Strong HR administrative and compliance background
* Excellent communicator with practical approach to problem solving
* Comfortable providing guidance to non-HR managers
* Up to date knowledge of employment law and best practice
* Experience with HR systems and HRIS desirable
