Duties
· Operate various types of paving machinery (wheeled or tracked), tools and equipment in the preparation and laying of asphalt materials across a range of surfacing projects.
· Conduct daily walkaround plant inspections on paving equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, report mechanical issues and ensure proper cleaning after daily operations.
· Responsible for manoeuvring and controlling paver machine and the adjustment of equipment settings and controls to ensure proper paving thickness, width, and alignment.
· May be required to perform other related duties, such as adding or removing screed extensions, installing or removing automatic devices, and grade log or other accessories associated with the machine.
· On occasion may be required to be involved along with other crew members to carry out hand laying of asphalt materials
· Work closely with other crew members including truck drivers, roller operators, site supervisors to ensure work is completed to the highest quality standards
· Maintain a safe and tidy working environment on all job sites
Qualifications
Previous experience operating asphalt paving machines and heavy equipment is essential (minimum of 2+ years).
Knowledge of asphalt construction materials.
Understanding of computerized controls and electronics.
A valid driver's license along with a valid Safepass and Manual Handling is required.
· Team-oriented with excellent communication and coordination skills
Problem-solving abilities to address challenges that may arise during paving operations.
Working Hours:
· Monday to Friday
· Overtime
· Weekend Work on occasion

· Salary negotiable based on experience
