Operational Project Engineer Role Overview
The Operational Project Engineer plays a pivotal role in driving efficiency, quality and operational excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and support business process development through continuous improvement projects.
2. Ensure seamless project delivery by cooperating with internal users and external departments.
3. Analyse, improve upon or develop installation, projects and other internal business processes, workflows and systems.
4. Develop and manage knowledge and documentation for training purposes.
5. Act as a point of contact/key user to support day-to-day operations and internal business processes.
6. Work with users and coordinate with external departments for continuous improvement and development.
7. Project management and leadership skills are essential for this role.
8. Drive change management initiatives to ensure process improvements are effective and adopted.
9. Maintain close working relationships locally and globally with various stakeholders.
10. Develop reports and KPI from available data.
11. Maintain a customer-focused approach at all times.
12. Ensure quality, environmental and Health & Safety standards are always maintained.
13. Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Quality Management.
14. Ongoing travel for short periods may be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Minimum: A third-level qualification in a relevant field or proven work experience in process improvement, operational excellence or related roles.
* Experience working in an office environment is necessary.
* Preferred: More than 2 years in a similar role.
* Process improvement experience is highly desirable.
* Experience working with ERP systems would be beneficial.
