We always work closely with our customers.Ponsse Machines Ireland Ltd is now recruiting for the position of Forestry Machinery Sales Representative. This position means you will be responsible for the sale of new and used machines in your designated area. We offer an exciting job where you independently, with support from the country manager and marketing department, plan your market and sales, maintain an existing customer base and establish new customer contacts.To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe that you will need to demonstrate that you are highly proficient in the following areas.Prospecting & Lead Generation:Actively identify potential customers and new sales opportunities within the timber harvesting industry.Needs Assessment:Understand a client's specific equipment requirements and propose suitable a suitable solution.Product Expertise:Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Ponsse timber harvesting machinery, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages. We accept that you may not have prior direct experience selling Ponsse machines but an ability to be a quick learner will be essential.Sales & Negotiation:Present product solutions, negotiate terms and contracts, and close deals to meet sales goals.Customer Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through professional engagement and follow-up, using a company's CRM system to track interactions and opportunities.Equipment Management (for used equipment sales):Appraise and value trade-in equipment.Inspect machines and coordinate necessary repair works before resale.Advertise used equipment online, detailing specifications and media.Market AwarenessStay informed about market trends, new products, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and stay ahead.Key Skills & QualificationsSales Experience: Proven track record in selling forestry machinery, industrial machinery, construction, or agricultural equipment. At least 5 years of experience will be required.Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of forestry machinery/heavy machinery and related industrial or agricultural sectors.Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and ensure client satisfaction.Technical Aptitude: Proficiency with digital tools, such as CRM systems, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.Organisational Skills: Effective time management to manage a sales pipeline and meet deadlines.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours as well as availability during marketing events.TravelThis position requires travel throughout Ireland with some overnights involved.
