Leading a team of junior accountants and reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller is a very senior position within this global pharmaceutical manufacturing group.
This role involves full oversight over all cost and management accounting procedures and processes across the manufacturing sites, including leading process improvement initiatives and efficiency projects, setting enhanced KPIs in relation to cost management and inventory control, monitoring and reviewing drivers of costs, product costing, labour and overhead rates and standardised costing models.
You will join at Finance Manager level and have autonomy to lead a team of 2 junior accountants. To be successful, you will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) with over 5 years post-qualified experience in a manufacturing or cost-related role.
A deeply analytical mind, strong initiative and collaborative approach are essential in this role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as great attention to detail, are required. People management experience is preferred but not essential for this role.
