As we continue our journey toward becoming Irelands most trusted and sustainable business, we have an exciting opportunity for a successful candidate to join our team asSite Lead Role Scope: Assist in the management of all drivers and vehicles Assist in the Health & Safety processes including all applicable legislative compliance Develop and maintain best in class service standards throughout the regions customer base What you'll be doing: Area of Responsibility: Customer order distribution, cost management and route planning Provide driving support to cover routes during busy periods, including absenteeism and Holidays.
Support the Regional Cross Dock Manager (RCDM) to organise, plan and manage the day-to-day transport operation.
To maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders including, customers, managers, drivers, and all other relevant departments within Musgrave Wholesale Partners.
Support RCDM to ensure compliance with all statutory obligations for fleet management, maintenance and driver hours.
Ensure effective and proper use of fleet equipment to minimise damage to company assets at all times.
Support RCDM to drive productivity and efficiency across all routes.
Liaise with the sales team regarding new customer routes and/or deliveries.
Support RCDM and central Transport to maintain control over route planning and delivery scheduling to ensure prompt delivery to our customers Delivery route scheduling Maximise fleet utilisation Driver rostering Support RCDM to ensure fuel efficiency through monitoring, auditing and reporting.
Area of Responsibility: Manage and motivate the drivers to deliver best in class customer service Ensure drivers demonstrate the company values.
Manage routes and drivers to ensure on-time delivery.
Support the RCDM to drive a first for service culture throughout the transport team.
Area of Responsibility: Management of Staff Train drivers to meet the needs of the business.
Support RCDM to ensure all standard human resource processes are implemented for transport team e.g.
timekeeping, health & safety, holidays, accidents.
Essential Qualifications C license holder Up to date CPC Current Tachograph Card Proficient in MS Office Min.
1-2 years managing at team leader level (or higher) Proven track record of people management Strong Communication skills Honesty, integrity and openness Strong problem-solving focus Excellent flexibility and adaptability in management style Strong People ManagementMin.
1-2 years managing at team leader level (or higher) Desirable Qualification Min.
