Job Description
The successful candidate will work in partnership with our client to manage stock control and supply chain operations. This is a permanent role offering an excellent opportunity to work with a local company prominent within the civil engineering sector.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage overall stock control, ensuring accuracy and integrity of stock records using in-house stock app software.
* Develop and implement plans for improvements in stock control processes.
* Manage relationships with internal stock consumers, including sub-contractors and personnel, regarding stock control procedures.
* Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and clients, such as those providing free issue materials.
* Oversee the stock team at site yards, minimizing stock wastage according to company and client standards.
* Organize regular stocktakes, including cycle counting, and adhere to client reporting deadlines.
* Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
* Mixture of office-based and travel to site yards and stores.
* Experience with computerized stock systems.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Clean driving license.
* Background in construction desirable but not essential.
