About The Role
As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Community Care division, in Co Longford & Co Roscommon, including this key role of Person in Charge (Social Care Leader).
The purpose of the role is to provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use Orchard Community Care services and to ensure the service aligns with Government and Health Service Executive policies. The Manager will work autonomously and with initiative.
The ideal candidate would preferably have experience working with autism. The Manager will act as the Person in Charge for existing services, ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards.
This role includes:
* Supernumerary status

Essential Criteria:
* A minimum of 3 years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care
* A relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Social or Health Care
* Level 6 Management qualification
* Proven experience managing a residential service meeting quality and legislative standards
* Full current driving license with eligibility to drive in Ireland and access to a vehicle
Service Delivery Responsibilities:
* Lead on shift when on duty
* Provide direct care following care plans and protocols
* Assess needs and develop individualized care plans
* Implement care interventions and monitor outcomes
Training & Development:
* Train and orient new team members
* Organize and facilitate training programs
Compliance & Documentation:
* Maintain accurate care documentation
* Ensure timely completion of records
Quality Assurance:
* Implement quality improvement initiatives
* Conduct audits to ensure standards adherence
Communication & Collaboration:
* Foster a positive team environment and promote effective communication
