Mayo Employment Type: Full-time Department: Signage Production & Digital Print About the Role We are seeking a motivated Junior Sign Maker / Production Assistantto join our print production team.
This is a hands-on, entry-level role ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and takes pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.
Accuracy and quality are essential, as you will assist in producing, finishing, and installing signage and printed materials.
Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity to build a career in the signage and print industry.
No extensive experience is required — full training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities Assist in the hands-on production of signs, graphics, and printed materials Operate and assist with print and finishing equipment (training provided)Carry out tasks such as vinyl cutting, weeding, laminating, mounting, trimming, digital printing and finishing Assist with on-site signage installations under supervision, including preparation, loading, and setup Carefully follow job sheets, measurements, and installation instructions Check finished and installed work for accuracy, quality, and presentation Prepare materials, tools, and jobs for delivery or installation Maintain a clean, organised, and safe production and installation workspace Support senior sign makers and production staff as required Skills & Attributes Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions Good manual dexterity and practical, hands-on approach Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good time management and reliability Positive attitude and strong work ethic Desirable (but Not Essential)Interest in signage, print, or hands-on production work Experience in a workshop, trade, or installation environment Comfortable working on-site and in different locations Basic computer skills for handling job files or production notes What We Offer Full on-the-job training in production and installation Opportunity to develop practical trade skills in the signage and print industry Friendly and supportive team environment Potential for long-term career progression Competitive junior-level pay based on experience How to Apply Please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining why you're interested in this role to
