We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our primary care team on a temporary basis.
The successful candidate will specialize in paediatrics, providing high-quality therapeutic services to children and their families.
This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing tailored interventions to enhance the child's development and functional performance in daily activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's physical, sensory, and cognitive skills.
Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving developmental and functional outcomes.
Provide direct therapy services to children, focusing on enhancing motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the child's care.
Educate families on strategies to support their child's development at home and in the community.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share insights on patient progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
Current registration with CORU
Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, preferably within a primary care setting.
Strong assessment and intervention skills specific to paediatric populations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and settings.
Permission to work in Ireland and hold the following:
EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
