This opportunity will provide you with significant career growth and the chance to develop comprehensive skills in capital markets risk management.Role and ResponsibilitiesRisk Functionality DevelopmentBuild and enhance risk management tools and systems using PythonDevelop automated risk calculation and reporting processesCreate data validation and quality assurance scriptsSupport system testing and implementation of new featuresMaintain and improve the existing Python-based risk infrastructureCustomer SupportProvide support to end clients on risk-related queriesAssist clients with risk system navigation and functionalityRun client onboarding and training sessionsMaintain strong client relationships through proactive communicationDocument client interactions and feedback for continuous improvementCustomer Query ResolutionInvestigate and resolve complex client queries related to risk calculations and reportsAnalyse data discrepancies and provide clear explanations to clientsCollaborate with senior analysts to address escalated issuesCreate and maintain query resolution documentation and knowledge baseIdentify recurring problems and propose systematic solutionsEssential Skills and ExperienceYou must be able to demonstrate competency in at least 2 out of 3 core areas:Client SupportQuery ResolutionPython DevelopmentFunctional Skills Required:Naturally curious with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAccurate, with an eye for detail and the ability to spot anomalies in data and financialProactive approach to learning and professional developmentTechnical Skills:Python programming (preferred but not mandatory if strong in other areas)Basic understanding of capital markets and financial instrumentsProficiency in Excel and data manipulationSQL knowledge (desirable)Experience with data analysis tools (pandas, NumPy) – advantageous, but not essentialPreferred QualificationsEducational BackgroundUniversity degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fieldProfessional certifications (FRM, CFA, etc.) - significant advantageTraining courses in risk management or programmingTechnical ExperienceHands-on coding experience with PythonExperience with risk management systems or financial softwareBackground in quantitative analysis or modelingKnowledge of regulatory frameworks (Basel, Solvency II, etc.)You must be able to live and work in Ireland as sponsorship is not available.
