Role Summary


We're seeking passionate and dedicated Children's Residential Care Worker to join our team. You will play a vital role in delivering individualised care to young people referred to our service, helping them grow, develop new skills, and overcome challenges.

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement individualised Behaviour Support Plans and Placement Plans
* Support young people with educational activities, both at home and in school
* Deliver responsive residential care aligned with the Odyssey Model
* Maintain accurate daily records and communicate with parents, professionals, and referral agents
* Participate in team meetings, training, and service development
* Manage petty cash, assist with domestic routines, and contribute to a homely environment
* Uphold safeguarding protocols, confidentiality, and company policies


Educational Requirements


Do you have a minimum Level 7 qualification in Social Care or a relevant field listed below?

* QQI Level 8 in Psychology
* QQI Level 7 or Professional Practice Qualification in Child & Adolescence Psychotherapy, Counselling/Psychotherapy, or Addiction Counselling
* QQI Level 7 in Youth and Community (or similar), Social Science/Social Studies, Family Support, Disability Studies, Applied Behavioural Analysis, or Early Years Care (where the centre caters for children under 12)
* Professional Qualification in Teaching (excluding TEFL) or Nursing Studies
* BA in Applied Policing or equivalent
* Higher Certificate in Custodial Care (Irish Prison Service) or equivalent
* or CORU registration as a Social Care Worker in the absence of a relevant qualification


Required Criteria

* A full, clean manual driving licence that is valid in Ireland
* Familiarity with the Irish National Standards in Children's Residential Centres
* Experience working with teenagers exhibiting challenging behaviour
* Right to work and live in Ireland
