Deputy Hotel Operations Manager

This stylish hotel in Ireland is a popular wedding venue featuring recently refurbished bedrooms. We are seeking a Deputy Hotel Operations Manager to ensure the smooth daily operations of the hotel, with a particular responsibility for the Bar and Club.

Daily Responsibilities:
\

1. Promote excellent customer care at all times
\
2. Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming
\
3. Attend weekly management meetings and follow up on any outstanding issues
\
4. Conduct regular floor walks to ensure all standards are maintained
\
5. Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and senior staff on a daily basis
\
6. Manage the Porter department and provide training when needed to improve standards
\
7. Manage the Accommodation department, conducting daily inspections of all rooms
\
8. Oversee the float management system and ensure all procedures are followed
\
9. Monitor daily room occupancy figures, VIP's, groups, no-shows, Conference & Banqueting events, restaurant bookings, bar numbers and figures for lunch, complaints etc.
\
10. Carry out regular room spot checks
\
11. Carry out reasonable requests by senior management
\
12. Oversee and approve departmental rosters
\
13. Have visible floor presence during busy periods or VIP visits
\
14. Oversee the running of all functions, particularly weddings and VIP events
\
15. Assist with wedding show rounds and provide coverage for Conference & Banqueting as required
\
16. Deal with guest complaints or queries that cannot be resolved at departmental level
\
17. Assist with emergency situations in an efficient and professional manner
\
18. Act as hotel's Health & Safety Officer
\
Requirements:
\
\
19. At least three years' experience in a senior hotel operations role
\
20. Total hotel expert with experience across various departments, strong bar knowledge particularly
\
21. Proven team leader with excellent communication and motivational skills
\
22. Excellent service standards and genuine guest-focused approach
\
23. Excellent organisational skills
\
24. Keen financial acumen
\
25. Familiarity with various hotel systems/PMS
\
26. Positive leadership skills
\
27. Genuine love of hospitality
