Overview of Role
The ICT Security & Networks Administrator plays a key role in delivering and maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's data and services. Working within the Finance, Technology, and Risk division, this role assists in the configuration, management, and monitoring of networking and data communications infrastructure, both on-premises and cloud-based, supporting the business operations of the client and its affiliates.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Administer and support network security control tools (firewalls, network access management, etc.).
* Evaluate and support the security of new products and services for both on-premises and cloud environments.
* Troubleshoot and analyse network security issues across various technologies.
* Monitor security system logs and reports, responding to anomalies and potential threats.
* Support and participate in network security audits and vulnerability assessments.
* Assist with remediation and mitigation of detected vulnerabilities and security issues.
* Actively contribute to the management of ICT security technologies and network infrastructure within a team setting.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience

* Solid technical understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN, DMZ, DNS, and PKI technologies.
* Knowledge and experience with security technologies (Fortinet, Checkpoint, web/email filters, IPS).
* Understanding and experience of cloud networking and security concepts, including cloud-based security practices.
* Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
* Experience working with incident, change, and problem management ticketing tools.
Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a network security administration role in a medium-sized organisation.
* Experience supporting Cisco, Palo Alto, and Microsoft Azure networks and security.
* Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools like SIEM and NDR.
* Experience in access and identity management and privileged assessment management solutions.
* Supporting cloud infrastructure (Azure Virtual Networks, Azure Firewall, Azure Security Centre).
Education & Certifications
* Bachelor's degree in computing, Engineering, or equivalent qualification/experience.
* Certifications in industry-recognised Network and Security disciplines (Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Microsoft security/network/cloud certifications).

* Irish/EU Citizen or Stamp 4 Visa holder.
