Our client, a Cork-based multinational medical device manufacturing company, is recruiting for Maintenance Technicians. The contract duration is 6 months.
Summary of Job
Support the preventative and predictive maintenance programs by carrying out effective routines and repairs to prolong equipment life in designated departments. Support the facilities team as needed and liaise with onsite contractors. Ensure maximum availability and reliability of site assets.
Responsibilities
1. Align fully with designated departments within Operations.
2. Provide maximum maintenance support to the departments at all times.
3. Support the Facilities team and systems to maximize equipment uptime according to company requirements.
4. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to support manufacturing schedules.
5. Participate in the Reliability Centered Maintenance program.
6. Assist in achieving world-class MTTR and MTBF metrics.
7. Support the implementation and maintenance of the Manufacturing Equipment Excellence Program.
8. Contribute to the Manufacturing Equipment Excellence strategy to meet departmental goals.
9. Promote continuous improvement and innovation aligned with lean principles.
10. Lead and implement the Total Asset Care program within departments.
11. Participate in the 5S program within departments and technical areas.
12. Support NPD and NPI projects during development and implementation.
13. Engage in continuous improvement processes within Technical Services.
14. Report work status timely to maintenance coordinators and department leaders.
15. Maintain activity logs in the CMMS, including hours worked, parts used, and downtime.
16. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
17. Adhere to GMP requirements in all activities.
18. Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste according to procedures.
19. Minimize environmental impact of all work performed.
20. Ensure safe and efficient operation of onsite equipment.
21. Ensure contractor compliance with environmental policies and waste management.
22. Minimize environmental and safety effects of personal work activities.
23. Follow all procedures outlined in CSOPs.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* Strong electrical and electronic repair and diagnostic skills
* Experience in pneumatic and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair
* Understanding of robotics
* Experience with high-speed manufacturing equipment
* Experience maintaining vision systems
* Experience with Windows networking
* Some programming experience
* Knowledge of PLCs, drives, and HMI programming
* Practical application of theoretical knowledge
* Experience in an FDA-regulated industry with GMP and cleanroom environment
Desirable
* Experience with CMMS, preferably Maximo
* 3-5 years in an FDA maintenance environment
* Experience with label printers and placement equipment
