Job Overview:
A skilled and compassionate Nurse is sought to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities, demonstrating a passion for delivering exceptional care.
About the Role:
* To provide person-centred care and support to residents, meeting their physical, emotional, and practical needs.
* Support service users in identifying their personal goals through a Person Centred approach.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, families, and key stakeholders to achieve resident goals, guided by individual care plans.
* Assess residents' ongoing health and respond to medical concerns, reporting to the Unit Manager and liaising with General Practitioners as necessary.
* Carry out all duties related to medication, adhering to An Bord Altranais and organisational policies.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will possess:
* Registration on the Intellectual Disability/Mental Health Division of the Live Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais (INMB).
* Experience working in residential, respite, or day service settings with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Knowledge of Person Centred Planning, clinical and human resource policies, and relevant legislation.
