Learn more hereThis person will be able to certify, defend, and stand behind building performance and LEED compliance.ResponsibilitiesThe Role:Responsible for the Commissioning process for HVAC, Electrical and Building Envelope systems with a particular focus on the commissioning requirements to support the LEED Certification of multiple LEED projects across the various LEED rating systems.Responsible for reviewing Owner Project Requirements (OPR's) and Basis of Design (BOD) documents to ensure they meet the intended requirements, and verifying that the program's goals are properly included in the design documents.Prepare Commissioning Specifications at design and construction phase Commissioning Plans.Facilitate commissioning meetings.Review submittals, start-up sheets, RFIs and change orders for commissioned equipment and systems.Prepare Functional Performance Test procedures, review TAB process and final TAB reports.Prepare Final Reports and Systems Manuals to provide a comprehensive project summary to the Owner.Support the growth of our team and assist with preparing proposals for new and existing clients.Perform field visits to observe installation of commissioned systems and prepare field reports.Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Other responsibilities and opportunities may include:Lead / support commissioning to meet the requirements of BREEAM certifications.Support Design Teams with technical aspects of NZEB, Low/Net Zero Carbon/Energy Building design & commissioning strategiesWork with design, construction and commissioning teams to foster an understanding of current and proposed Sustainability related legislation.Develop and manage client relationships (internally and externally).Aftercare support on completed projects.EssentialQualificationsLevel 8 qualification in Architecture /Engineering/ Environmental/ Sustainability or related subject5+ years' experience as a commissioning/energy systems consultant or related positionCommissioning process experience on at least 2 building projects, preferably in the industrial sector (life sciences and data centres). The experience should extend from early design phase through into occupancyAbility to travel to work-sites as needed or requiredClear and confident communication skillsProject engineering / management skills, including decision making, problem solving, planning and organization, leadership and team building skillsIdealQualifications in the following desirable; LEED GA or AP BD&C / ID+C and/or BREEAM AP and/or WELL APLicensed Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer status (or working to achieve) preferableHave earned (or in process of earning) one of the following certifications: ASHRAE's Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP); ACG's Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA); or BCA's Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP)A background in facility operation and maintenance would be advantageous.Why PM Group?As an employee-owned company, we are inclusive, committed and driven.
