The Ideal Candidate will have the following requirements: - Experience working in an Accounts Department preferably in a hotel industry.
Must have a knowledge of and a willingness to assist in all accounting functions as assigned and to cover the vacation of colleagues in the accounting department.
Must be willing to move in rotation through various accounting functions and properties.
Required knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
Previous experience with hotel systems including Hotsoft and Volante is beneficial but not vital.
Strong communication skills to deliver accurate information.
General Work overview Audit all income generated by the hotel and produce reports for distribution.
Reconciliation of daily cash receipts, credit card receipts, and vouchers.
Supplier payments processing and all associated tasks Daily reporting of all corrections and adjustments and circulation of report to relevant management.
Manage accounts receivable Issue invoices / chase creditors payments Assist with month end stocktakes Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Financial Controller.
