Overview
Our client, a well-established and respected construction firm, is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in Cork. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to play a key role in the delivery of major construction projects, managing either a large single site or multiple smaller sites.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong track record in site management, looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values quality, safety, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project schedules and detailed work plans.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring progress aligns with timelines and quality standards.
- Lead site teams and subcontractors, monitoring performance and maintaining compliance.
- Ensure all Health & Safety and Environmental policies are strictly followed.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure works meet design specifications.
- Manage procurement and usage of materials, equipment, and labour.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple site operations concurrently.
- Handle on-site challenges such as delays or design discrepancies.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date site documentation and reporting.
- Support and develop on-site staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.

- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent project planning, organisational and decision-making skills.
- Strong communicator with a professional approach to client and stakeholder relationships.
- Proactive problem-solver with sound knowledge of construction processes and building regulations.
- Committed to maintaining high health & safety standards on-site.
- Comfortable managing multiple sites or complex builds simultaneously.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant third-level degree or trade qualification.
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Experience working with both main contractors and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of current building regulations and certification processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, project timelines, and reporting.
