Role - Site Manager/Civil Site Engineer
Location - South East Ireland
Our client is seeking a Site Manager / Civil Site Engineer for project delivery in Ireland. The successful candidates will oversee daily operations and management of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality, safety, environmental compliance, and contractual adherence. Each position is based on one of two separate project sites in Ireland.
Manage, monitor, and supervise all on-site activities of contractors.
Oversee projects delivered under a multi-contract model during enabling works, main construction, and commissioning phases.
Administer contracts for main contractors, including discharging delegated responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a focus on solar site construction challenges.
Serve as the primary on-site contact for the project team.
Monitor project progress and prepare reports for the project team and senior management.
Conduct Quality Assurance reviews, audits, and checks throughout construction.
Resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively in collaboration with the project team.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including logs, inspections, and incident reports.
Essential Experience
Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil engineering with site management experience in energy infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC Contracts and contract administration.
Experience engaging with stakeholders and authorities.
Solution-focused with strong delivery skills in a commercial environment.
Ability to assess and manage project risks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
Full driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Experience
Previous role as Site Manager in energy infrastructure projects.
Experience as PSCS on construction projects.
Essential Qualifications
Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications
Chartered status with a recognized professional institution.
Project Management qualification.
