Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join a Primary care team in Castletroy, Limerick. This is a full-time, 12 month specified purpose contract, 35 hours per week, with salary aligned to HSE pay scales for the Senior grade.
Excel Recruitment have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join a Primary care team in Castletroy, Limerick, working alongside a Senior Physiotherapist, a Senior Occupational Therapist, and a Senior Speech and Language Therapist.
This role focuses on enhancing patient mobility, promoting independence, and contributing positively to the community.
About the Role
As a Senior Physiotherapist in this Primary care Community Team, you will assess, treat, and support patients in the community to improve mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and treatments for individuals of all ages with musculoskeletal, neurological, and age-related conditions.
* Collaborate with the Senior Occupational Therapist, a second Senior Physiotherapist, and a Physiotherapy Assistant to deliver patient-centred care.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans addressing each patient’s needs and rehabilitation goals.
* Facilitate early hospital discharge by delivering rehabilitation and reablement interventions within the community.
* Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
* Participate in regular supervision, peer learning, and professional development to enhance clinical expertise.
* Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives to optimise patient outcomes and service delivery.

Requirements
* BSc in Physiotherapy.
* CORU registration as a Physiotherapist.
* Minimum of three years of post-graduate Physiotherapy experience, with at least one year at Senior level (preferably in a community or rehabilitation setting).
* Strong experience in rehabilitation, falls prevention, musculoskeletal, and/or neurological physiotherapy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership and initiative.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Full clean driver’s license and access to a car for community visits.
