Finishing Foreman Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Foreman to oversee and manage the finishing phase of construction projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential and commercial construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Responsible for ensuring that all finishing work is completed to the highest standards and within the specified timelines.
* Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
* Oversee project schedules: Ensure that all finishing work is completed on time and within budget.
* Supervise construction workers and subcontractors: Provide guidance and direction to ensure tasks are performed correctly and promptly.
* Report on project progress: Keep senior managers and stakeholders informed about the status of the finishing work.
* Maintain quality control checks: Perform regular inspections to ensure the highest quality of work.
* Coordinate teams: Organize and manage the movement of on-site labor, materials, and machinery.
* Day-to-day problem solving: Address any issues that arise during the finishing phase to prevent project delays.
* Sign off and hand over completed work to the client: Ensure that all work is finished to the agreed standards and specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Background in large-scale mixed residential or commercial construction with a proven track record of successfully leading project teams.
* Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards.
* Methodical, excellent attention to detail, and accurate with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities at once.
