Health & Safety Manager Civil Engineering & Utilities Main Contractor Salary €75 K-€90 K DOE Dublin Based Contractor Hybrid/Remote working option available A well-established civil engineering and utilities contractor is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead and manage health and safety performance across multiple infrastructure and utilities projects in Ireland.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high safety standards, ensuring full compliance with Irish legislation, and promoting a proactive safety culture across all projects and operational teams.
Key Responsibilities ? Lead and manage the company Health & Safety Management System ? Ensure compliance with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and Construction Regulations 2013 ? Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and compliance reviews ? Support project teams in preparing risk assessments and method statements ? Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions ? Provide safety advice and guidance to project managers, engineers and site supervisors ? Monitor safety performance and prepare regular safety reports for senior management ? Promote a strong safety culture through training, engagement and awareness initiatives Requirements ? Level 8 Honours Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline ? Minimum 7+ years experience in a Health & Safety role in within civil engineering or construction ? Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and HSA requirements ? Experience conducting site safety audits and incident investigations ? Excellent communication and leadership skills ? Full driving licence Desirable ? Experience working on civil engineering or utilities infrastructure projects ? Membership or working towards membership of IOSH ? Experience implementing ISO 45001 safety management systems Package ? Competitive salary package ? Company vehicle or vehicle allowance ?
