The Role
Reporting to the Director of DTS, the Data Architecture and Integrations Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for shaping the organisation’s data strategy, managing enterprise integrations, and enabling advanced analytics and AI capabilities. You will lead a team of data professionals and play a key role in helping the organisation evolve into a truly data-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and implement an enterprise data architecture strategy aligned with organisational goals.
* Lead the development of cloud-based and modern data platforms to support analytics, AI, and digital transformation.
* Establish data architecture standards, metadata frameworks, and governance models.
* Oversee data quality, integrity, and compliance processes aligned with policies and regulations.
* Manage enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Boomi) and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data integration across systems.
* Support custom API development, data connectors, and integration design for strategic projects.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
* Mentor and lead a team of data engineers and analysts, fostering innovation and collaboration.
* Support the design of data models and infrastructure to enable reporting and decision-making.
* Represent the department in internal working groups and sectoral communities on data and integration.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
* Bachelor’s degree (Level 7 NFQ or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in data architecture or systems integration roles.
* Strong technical background with integration platforms (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, etc.).
* Experience designing data solutions for analytics and AI.
* Expertise in data modelling, metadata management, and API integration.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable:
* Postgraduate qualification in a related field.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI, Snowflake).
* Familiarity with data mesh, lakehouse, or event-driven architecture concepts.
* Experience working in large, complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
