Overview of the role
We are seeking an experienced Financial Director to lead the finance function of Paul Costelloe Design Management Ltd., the holding company of the Paul Costelloe fashion brand, based in Dublin, Rep. of Ireland. This is a senior role with key responsibilities across financial strategy and management, accounting, reporting, compliance and business operations.
Our ideal candidate will come with a strong, proven track record of financial management experience. A candidate with particular experience or understanding of the financial, accounting and legal practices within the fashion and apparel industry, including retail and wholesale, brand licensing and governance, trademark and intellectual property, will be well positioned for this role.
Ideal qualifications and experience
+10 years’ experience in mid to senior finance roles, ideally within the fashion or retail industries
The ideal candidate will show a level of working knowledge, qualification or certification in tax law and regulations, trademark law and intellectual property law relating to the Republic of Ireland, the UK and internationally.
Confident, professional and sharp communicator with the ability to advise, present and negotiate at the senior / executive level.
Experience working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving, growth business.
Understanding or familiarity with fashion industry operating models, seasonality, inventory management, best performing products / categories, margin structures and commission / royalty standards.
