Associate Solicitor Child Protection & Public Law (3+ Years PQE) A leading Top-Tier Irish law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Solicitor with at least3 years PQE to join its award-winning Child Care Law department in Dublin.
As a member of the largest and most established dedicated team of child protection lawyers in the country, you will represent a major State Agency in highly sensitive and complex legal proceedings.
This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to engage in significant litigation across all jurisdictions, from the District Court to the Supreme Court.
Key Responsibilities Litigation & Advocacy: Lead a high-volume caseload of legal proceedings, including applications for Care and Supervision Orders.
Court Representation: Act as a primary advocate in the District Court for in camera proceedings.
High-Level Drafting: Prepare complex pleadings, affidavits, and legal submissions for child care, mental health, and adoption law cases.
Strategic Advice: Provide expert advice on the Child Care Acts, the "Duty to Co-operate," and international frameworks such as the Brussels II Regulation.
Policy & Training: Assist NGOs and sporting organisations with child protection audits and contribute to the firms extensive client training programmes.
Candidate Requirements Experience: Minimum of 3 years PQE with a primary focus on Child Care Law, Public Law litigation, or Family Law.
Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Child and Family Agency Act and National Vetting Bureau Act.
Advocacy: Proven experience in District Court advocacy; must be comfortable appearing in court regularly.
Professionalism: High degree of emotional intelligence and resilience, with a responsive approach to client service.
