An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Accountant to join a growing Finance and Operations team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support the financial management of EIIS funds, SPVs, and corporate entities, along with regulatory, compliance, and investor-related processes.
This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure to investment management and regulated financial services.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant Job:
* Assist with management accounts for EIIS funds, SPVs, and corporate entities
* Support loan book accounting and payment processing
* Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors
* Post journals, accruals, and prepayments
* Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Monitor cash flow and support tax-related filings
* Maintain accurate financial records
* Work closely with senior finance stakeholders on systems and business projects
* Support data accuracy across finance and investment systems
* Assist with financial aspects of investments, exits, and fundraising
* Support investor reporting and queries
* Monitor financial performance of investee companies
* Assist with interest calculations on debt products
* Review KYC and AML documentation for investors and investee companies
* Perform customer due diligence checks
* Maintain AML records in line with regulatory requirements
* Support compliance reviews and engagement with external advisors
* Assist with finance and operational process improvements
* Provide ad-hoc support to senior management
Requirements of the Assistant Accountant Job:
* Part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
* Previous accounting or financial services experience
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Good understanding of financial statements
* Comfortable working with documentation and regulatory processes
* Strong Excel skills
* Experience in investment management, funds, private equity, or EIIS
* Exposure to KYC/AML processes
* Experience working with auditors or compliance advisors
* Knowledge of Irish financial services regulation
