Key Responsibilities
Work with the Project Manager to successfully deliver project works applying a high level of safety standards in all aspects of work
Contractor Management – Develop and manage project programmes and monitor and manage contractors’ construction and commissioning schedules.
Overall management of the tender process including preparation of documents, evaluation and negotiation.
Construction Management
Management of project interfaces such as procurement, design, free issue material, power cables, telecoms
Coordination of project requirements into overall ESB/EirGrid outage schedules.
Build relationships with relevant key stakeholders across ESB and in relevant external agencies
Experience and Qualifications
Seven or more years’ experience in project management/delivery, ideally within the electricity industry.
Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience is essential
Experience dealing with construction contractors to ensure that they deliver to specified requirements.
Excellent knowledge of PSDP and PSCS processes.
Excellent understanding of key elements of construction and project management.
Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car.
Flexibility to travel nationwide
Excellent understanding of key elements of High Voltage (HV) and Electrical design.
Construction experience across a wide range of high voltage engineering projects, for example, Substations, Overhead Line and underground cables projects
Project Management Qualification
Chartered status or another relevant accreditation
Location
This position will be based in The Siding, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2 or in our Eastgate office in Cork. Travel to site will be an important part of this role.

€71,976 to €84,677 per annum
