St. Helen's Bay Golf Resort is a leading golf and leisure destination on the Wexford coastline, featuring an 18-hole championship course, clubhouse, hospitality facilities, and a community of over 300 holiday homes. The resort now seeks an experienced General Manager to lead daily operations and support the next phase of development.Role PurposeThe General Manager is responsible for the smooth running, commercial performance, and strategic development of the resort, ensuring an exceptional experience for members, residents, and visitors while maintaining strong financial and operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership across golf operations, hospitality, facilities, and customer service.Oversee coordination between the golf course, clubhouse, bar/restaurant, pro shop, and maintenance teams.Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health and safety, and licensing requirements.Drive service excellence and manage customer feedback to maintain a high-quality visitor and member experience.Build strong relationships with club committees, homeowners, OMCs, local authorities, and tourism partners.Develop strategies to grow revenue across memberships, events, society golf, and hospitality.Lead marketing initiatives to enhance visibility and attract new members and visitors.Prepare and manage budgets, provide financial reporting, and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.Recruit, motivate, and develop staff, fostering a positive and professional work culture.Candidate ProfileProven management experience in a golf, resort, or hospitality environment.Strong expertise in food & beverage operations and customer service delivery.Experience working with OMCs and facilities management requirements.Strong financial, leadership, project-management, and communication skills.Energetic, organised, and customer-focused, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Reporting & LocationReports to the Board of Bing Bay Golf and Leisure, with direct responsibility for key operational managers.
