Programme Executive - Single Point of Contact
Salary - €51,000
Hybrid – 3 days working from home and 2 days office based
Annual leave - 29 days a year, based on a five-day week and is exclusive of public holidays
Our client, the national authority responsible for promoting sustainable energy practices in Ireland, has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Executive in their Decarbonised Heat and System Supports Department.
Role Profile
The Decarbonised Heat & System Support Department is a new department and comprises the transfer of existing functions plus the establishment of the new national District Heating Centre of Excellence. The existing functions include the Decarbonised Heating and Cooling research function, the Single Point of Contact service for consenting in renewable energy projects, and the Sustainable Energy Communities, Schools, and RESS programmes.
The Single Point of Contact (SPC) for Renewable Energy Consenting is a function arising from the EU Renewable Energy Directive II and subsequent RED III recast. The function includes a guidance component that is already operational and a monitoring component that is about to be developed. The Programme Executive will support the implementation of the guidance function, reporting to the SPC Programme Manager.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Programme Manager in implementing the SPC Guidance function, keeping information current and developing new content as needed.
* Manage the SPC contact service and provide timely, accurate information to end users.
* Enhance communications through website improvements, social media engagement, and responding to inquiries.
* Build and maintain relationships with stakeholder organizations.
* Represent the department at meetings and events, including delivering presentations and speaking engagements.
* Collaborate with government stakeholders to develop and promote the SPC function.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.
* Remain flexible with working hours during activity peaks within the department.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
* A degree (minimum NFQ Level 7) in Engineering, Science, Environment, Sustainability, or Business.
* At least three years of relevant experience in this sector or a similar role.
