About the Role
As a Support Engineer on the Core Device OS team, you will be part of a team responsible for critical OS components, pipelines, services, tools, and application development frameworks. You will work on projects that push the boundaries of customer-device interaction.
This role requires the ability to learn quickly and handle multiple overlapping tasks that will define your success. Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing first-level support for Jira tickets and operational issues from production services.
2. Supporting incoming Jira tickets through troubleshooting and debugging across multiple product lines.
3. Working on maintenance-driven coding projects, primarily in AWS, CDK, and basic C++.
4. Setting up and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
5. Developing tools and automating manual operational tasks for easier maintenance.
6. Building monitoring dashboards and reporting system health and support metrics.
7. Collaborating with remote development teams for hand-offs and creating a team-specific knowledge base.
Daily Activities
* Creating cloud infrastructure.

* Developing tooling and using CDK.
* Providing on-call support.
Basic Qualifications
* 2+ years of software development or technical support experience.
* Experience with Unix.
* Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
* Scripting experience in modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development.
* Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID.
* Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON.
