Finance AssistantLocation: NewtownabbeyJob Type: Full-time | Permanent | Office-basedSalary: £29,000 + per annumReed Accountancy are delighted to be partnered with an established and expanding company based in Newtownabbey in the appointment of an experienced Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team!This role is crucial for adding value to their Finance and Customer Service Functions and supporting future business growth. The successful Finance Assistant will be instrumental in managing both Accounts Receivable and Payable, ensuring efficient financial operations within the company.Day-to-day of the role:Accounts Receivable:Post and reconcile cash received and allocate on system. Liaise with customers regarding accounts, overdue balances, and ensure payments are made within agreed credit terms.Produce and circulate debt reports.Carry out and review Bank Reconciliation.Manage Unposted Cash, Direct Debits, and associated postings.Accounts Payable:Support AP function during peak times.Create Purchase Orders for approval.General Duties:Support the Client and Customer Service Managers as well as operational functions of the business.Handle calls, emails, and correspondence in a timely manner.Interface with clients and address customer queries.Facilitate business improvements, coordination, and communication across all business functions.Assist with month-end processes and preparation of journals.Contribute to system development and process improvements.Required Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of experience in Finance Administration.Excellent IT skills and knowledge of accounting software.Preferably educated to 'A' level standard with strong grades in English and Maths at GCSE Level.Experience in managing a large number of customer accounts.Knowledge of Credit Control procedures and experience within a similar environment.Finance related qualification is preferable.High degree of computer literacy, proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Oracle.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently using own initiative.Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional relationships and remain calm under pressure.For more information, including package details, please contact Mary at Reed Belfast, apply via this advert, or contact me confidentially on LinkedIn
