Are you an experienced HR professional looking to broaden your impact across all areas of HR? We're seeking a proactive HR Generalist to support and drive a wide range of people-focused initiatives, from recruitment and employee relations to reporting, compliance, and engagement.
With 3–4 years of HR experience, you'll bring expertise, initiative, and a passion for supporting employees while partnering with managers to create a positive and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
* Manage end-to-end recruitment, from drafting job descriptions to interviews and offers.
* Deliver smooth, engaging onboarding for new starters.
Employee Relations & HR Support
* Act as a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers.
* Provide advice on policies, contracts, performance, and employee matters.
Attendance & Workforce Planning
* Attend shift handovers (07:45 & 15:45) to address attendance concerns.
* Draft and circulate weekly rosters to ensure staffing levels.
HR Administration & Compliance
* Maintain up-to-date, GDPR-compliant personnel records.
* Monitor and resolve anomalies in Time & Attendance systems.
* Oversee leave management, absence tracking, and related reporting.
Payroll & Reporting
* Support Finance with payroll queries and provide accurate data.
* Generate HR reports and metrics (e.g., absenteeism, headcount, labour recovery).
Engagement, Culture & Communications
* Support internal communication initiatives and maintain site communication boards.
* Coordinate employee engagement and recognition events.
Training & Development
* Schedule and track training sessions.
* Ensure accurate records and compliance with training requirements.
Policy & Process
* Assist in drafting and updating policies and contracts.
* Contribute to continuous improvement across HR processes.
What You'll Bring
* 3–4 years' HR experience in a generalist or advisory role.
* A relevant 3rd level qualification in HR, Business, or related field.
* Strong knowledge of HR best practice and employment law basics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Desirable:
* CIPD qualification or working towards.
* Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Familiarity with HRIS or Time & Attendance systems.
