Senior Grade Physiotherapist (Paediatrics)

Horizons is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic Senior Physiotherapist - Part Time. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team as a member of Children’s Disability Network Team 8, Central Cork.
The post holders will support to children with complex needs, and their families. This will include children with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism.
Responsibilities will include collaborative goal setting, individual and group intervention, assessment and monitoring of physical development and postural management equipment prescription to children with complex needs arising from a disability.
The post holder will work across a variety of settings including the clinic, hydrotherapy pool, preschools, schools, special schools, children's homes and community settings. CDNT 8 work closely with CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services to assess and monitor the complex physical and orthopaedic needs of the children on the caseload (posture, muscle length and muscle tone, hip and spinal surveillance.)
The successful applicant must:
(i) Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. Please see list of acceptable Physiotherapy qualifications: https://coru.ie/files-registration/hse-list-of-physiotherapist-qualifications.pdf
and
(ii) Be registered on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
or
(iii) Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005, (see note 1 below*), must submit proof of application for registration with the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU. The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant.
and
(iv) Candidates must have three years full time (or an aggregate of three years full time) relevant post qualification clinical experience, including experience supporting children with disabilities.
and
(v) Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.

(vi) Have a full, clean, driving license and access to a car to travel between their base, clinics, homes, schools and the Enable Ireland campus in Curraheen to attend CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services Clinics.
