Purpose of the Role
The Nurse Practice Co-Ordinator will provide clinical leadership and expert guidance on nursing and clinical practice across the Talbot Group. The role focuses on the development, delivery and oversight of high-quality clinical skills training for nursing, social care and healthcare staff.
This post plays a pivotal role in building a strong clinical learning environment, supporting staff competence and confidence, and ensuring evidence-based, safe and effective care across all services. The role contributes directly to regulatory compliance, quality improvement and the continuous enhancement of clinical practice.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* NMBI Registration:
Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
* Experience:
* Minimum 5 years post-registration clinical experience
* At least 3 years in a nursing management role
* Teaching Qualification:
* Post-registration qualification at
NFQ Level 8 or higher
, or written confirmation of equivalent ECTS credits
* Relevant postgraduate qualification at
Level 9 or higher

* Management & Administration:
* Proven ability to manage clinical training programmes and related administration
* IT Skills:
* Competence in MS Office and learning management systems, with willingness to further develop skills
* Annual Registration:
* Maintain live annual NMBI registration
* Completion of annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC)
Desirable:
* Post-registration experience in Intellectual Disability (ID) Nursing

* Participate in audit, quality improvement and inspection readiness
* Contribute to governance, regulatory compliance and risk management
* Act as a clinical resource, role model and professional leader
* Participate in Nurse Executive, Medication Management and governance meetings
* Support implementation of Nursing Quality Care Metrics in Intellectual Disability Services
