About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Customs Coordinator to join a leading logistics and freight forwarding company based in Cork.
This role is ideal for someone with customs clearance experience who can manage import and export declarations, ensure compliance with customs regulations, and support the smooth movement of goods across road, sea, and air freight.
Key Responsibilities
Complete import and export customs declarations.
Process customs documentation accurately and efficiently.
Liaise with customers, internal teams, and government authorities regarding customs requirements.
Ensure VAT and duty payments are correctly authorised and processed.
Maintain accurate customs records and compliance documentation.
Support customs audits and compliance procedures.
Assist in resolving customs-related issues and shipment delays.
Requirements
Previous customs clearance experience in Ireland.
Strong understanding of import and export procedures.
Knowledge of customs regulations, VAT, and duties.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers and internal stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Experience
Experience with freight forwarding or logistics operations.
Knowledge of customs systems and customs compliance processes.
Familiarity with Azyra, TRACES, or TSS declarations is advantageous.
