If you are a commercial, hands on, ambitious individual that is looking to take a step up in your career, this role could be for youAbout the role:Reporting to and assisting an excellent senior management team, you will be responsible for:overseeing the operational finance teamensuring the successful close of the monthly close processPreparation of year-end accounts and engagement with external auditorProvide insightful financial analysis, including budget-vs-actual commentary and cash-flow managementDrive forecasting, business planning, and continuous process improvementsProactive improvement of internal controls & processessupport on adhoc projects as they arise.About the person:The successful individual will be a fully qualified accountant, with 5+ years PQE, ideally working in a hands on Controller position in an SME environment.Proven skills and experience in financial planning and strategy, forecasting, reporting and presentation of financial information, promoting process improvement and meeting regulatory requirements at board levelExperience in business partneringA high level of commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills are essential for the roleStrong leadership skills and provide mentoring coaching to peers, direct reports and new staffExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Intellectual curiosity when it comes to the business and business performance.Working across all business types, but exclusively within the accounting, finance & tax community, Barden exists to share bespoke advice, guidance and support to professionals along each step of their career journey.
