AI Solutions Architect
Contract: 12 Months
Location: Cork, Ireland (hybrid – some onsite required)
Rate: €750 per day
Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale, multi-agent AI platforms. This role will focus on architecting and governing orchestration frameworks that enable multiple AI agents to collaborate securely and reliably to solve complex business challenges. You will define the technical vision, integration strategy, and operational standards required to scale AI-driven automation across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and oversee multi-agent orchestration platforms that coordinate AI services and autonomous workflows
Define communication models, event-driven patterns, and state management approaches for distributed AI systems
Design resilient, fault-tolerant architectures with robust error handling, retry logic, and recovery mechanisms
Establish observability standards, including monitoring, logging, and performance tracking for AI ecosystems
Lead integration of AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, and data platforms
Develop reusable architectural blueprints, patterns, and reference implementations to accelerate deployment
Provide technical leadership and governance across AI initiatives, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
Collaborate with engineering, data, and cloud teams to align AI architecture with broader enterprise strategy
Required Skills & Experience
Strong software engineering background with expertise in Python
Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, Temporal or similar)
Experience designing message-based systems using technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
Proven capability in API design, systems integration, and microservices architecture
Experience deploying scalable solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud platforms
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Ability to produce clear architectural documentation and guide best practice adoption
Background
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Proven track record designing scalable, enterprise-grade platforms
Experience working with AI/ML systems or agent-based technologies strongly preferred
This is a high-impact contract role suited to a hands-on architect who can combine strategic design with practical delivery in a fast-evolving AI landscape.
